Nida Azwer known for he regal, elegant style and choosing the beautiful, unique and soft shades to life in her work brings latest bridal collection. Nida Azwer has been designing and working in fashion under the aegis of her eponymous label since 2005, only one month after she graduated from the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture.
Nida has always been inspired by the fine craft of local Pakistani artisans. She is recognized for her love of more classic and vintage design elements infused with traditional crafts such as tukri ka kaam, rilli, kantha, zardozi and miniature embroidery, worked into contemporary fashion. All clothing and apparel created under the Nida Azwer label is meticulously handworked in Pakistan using only pure fabrics including Irish linen, chiffons, hand-woven silks, French lace, la’me and brocade. Additionally, she prioritizes the revival of traditional craft, specifically embroideries in Pakistan. Drawing inspiration from interior Sindh’s age-old embroideries, she meticulously reinvents stitches such as the Hurmich, Seesha Tanka, Moti Tanka and Heera Tanka on fine quality organza and silk. She is passionate about ensuring the continuation of the craftsmanship, supporting a large number of craftsmen in Pakistan.

Azwer bring out her latest bridal wears Collection. “While my team and I have brought the Nida Azwer fashion label to the ramp in Lahore several times as part of bridal and pret fashion weeks, this is the first time we are bringing the entire Nida Azwer fashion range for retail in one space,” says the designer.
The Nida Azwer atelier showcased an exclusive line of limited edition shawls titled the “Toosh Collection” along with pieces from the brand’s latest bridal couture line “The Hyderabad Collection”, at the Nida Azwer flagship boutique in Lahore through an exclusive couture soiree. The fashion presentation commenced with a showing of select pieces from “The Hyderabad Collection”. This was followed by an interactive session with designer Nida Azwer where models presented the intricately designed hand embroidered shawls to guests at the event where Nida explained the type of work and craftsmanship revived in each shawl.

Nida was nominated for a coveted Lux Style Award for Best Emerging Talent in 2008 and in 2015 for the Best Fashion Designer Pret. She also won the Best Designer Award at the Nesvita Women of Strength Awards in 2009, and recently showcased special pieces from her collections at ‘A Flower From Every Meadow – Design and Innovation in Pakistan’s Dress Traditions’ exhibition at the Mohatta Palace Museum in Karachi.
